MON003 Here's a cute and attractive little stock certificate from The Ford & Lee Company, circa the early 1900's. This GOES printed certificate features a vignette of a capped Liberty at the upper left, also a gold seal at lower left and handsome radiating rays printed in golden ink throughout. The Liberty vignette is very similar to some I've seen on early 20th century banknotes from Nicaragua and Peru, as well as other stock certificates. This particular item is unissued and came from the original share book of this small company. Less than 50 certificates were actually issued. This will make a great display item to be framed, or to go along with a collection of other stocks, bonds, or banknotes. The scans at right are of a representative stock and may not be of the exact certificate you will receive; however, you will receive a stock in a similar nice condition. Please note that this item is sold as a collectible only and is not negotiable or redeemable. Our price for one of these little beauties - just $7.00. |

FROM CLEVELAND, CINNCINNATI, CHICAGO, AND ST. LOUIS RAILWAY CO. MON004 This is an absolutely gorgeous example of a $1000 gold bond (general mortgage 5%, Series B) of the Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago, & St. Louis Railway circa 1893. It features a lovely vignette of two girls harvesting wheat (known as the "reaper sisters vignette"), flanked by two images of a beautiful old steam train at left and right! The back of the bond has two more great vignettes in green. This large, vertical-format bond was never issued, signed, or cancelled, and is in beautiful new condition. It even comes with almost three full pages of illustrated coupons, each with an old train pictured! Makes a superb display item to be framed, or to go along with a collection of other bonds or banknotes. This item will be shipped flat in a large, rigid cardboard mailer suitable for storing your bond or other large documents when not being displayed. The scans at right are of a representative bond. You will receive an identical bond in a similar nice condition. Please note that this item is sold as a collectible only and is not negotiable and may not be cashed in anywhere for $1000. MON006 They just don't make 'em anymore like this lovely old (circa 1911) large size five peso genuine "Bancos" note from the state of Sonora! This wonderful note, listed as P-S419r in the specialized issues edition of The Standard Catalog of World Paper Money, is in spectacular AU condition and comes with a pedigree! It was once part of the Ellis Props & Graphics Co.'s collection and we believe it was used as a prop note at one time, possibly to represent the old large-size U. S. notes which were in use when this old beauty was issued. We acquired a group of these splendid notes from the same source as our recent purchase of motion picture prop money (see below ads), which also belonged to Ellis. Ellis Props & Graphics, originally known as Ellis Mercantile, originated back in 1908 and recently closed its doors. No doubt this antique was acquired back sometime in the teens, after they were no longer backed by the Mexican government but were still plentiful. If you collect genuine old Mexican money or Hollywood movie money, this note will be a highlight of your collection! This magnificent note in AU can be yours for just $22.00 each! |

MON007 Here's a great-looking set of phony Hollywood movie banknotes featuring Abraham Lincoln. These notes were formerly the property of Ellis Props & Graphics Partners, which was established in 1908 and closed its doors last year. We will include a copy of the certificate of authenticity we received with the larger group of notes we recently acquired. These notes bear a striking resemblence to an old Civil War era $10 banknote that actually circulated back in the 1860's. This group of notes has a green back somewhat similar to an old large size, early 20th century vintage $1 note. We have sold a number of these sets to dealers and are now offering them to our retail customers for a limited time as our supply is dwindling. Who knows what famous actor or actress may have used these notes in some scene in the movies or on TV! This neat set of six can be yours for just $14.00! |

MON008 Another Hollywood special - a 9-piece group of nicely-detailed, decent grade movie prop notes, eight of which are based on actual notes issued by the Confederate States of America back in the 1860's. This is the first time we have offered a set of nine different. These notes were formerly the property of the Ellis Props & Graphics, which was established in 1908 and closed its doors last year. We will include a copy of the certificate of authenticity we received with the larger group of notes we recently acquired. You'll receive a $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100, $500, & $1000 replica note, all printed on high-quality paper, black on white with green on white backs. The $1, $2, $500, & $1000 have the same design on both sides of the note for some reason! The $5, $10, $20, $50, & $100 have more "normal" backs! This group could be a real buy for the Confederate paper money buff, film buff, or anyone who just likes to collect "funny money!" Get your set of 9 different stage notes for just $16.00! |
