There's a well-known saying in the coin hobby, "Buy the book before you buy the coin."  This adage can be applied to most any collectible (and many other areas too) and is good advice.  Knowledge is of paramount importance when you're spending your hard-earned money on most anything.

What follows is a selection of used but not abused numismatic books which may be of interest.  The prices of many new catalogs can discourage the collector of modest means from investing in some knowledge but there's really no need for this, because used books can provide much useful information, even if their catalog pricing is out of date.  Indeed, the paper money market is currently so dynamic that even the new catalogs are not always accurate.

I will be adding more books to these and also some great auction catalogs from many of the big U. S. and foreign coin and note sales of the past.  In addition to beautiful black & white & color photographs, auction catalogs contain a wealth of information of interest and value to the general collector and/or specialist.  They also provide a close look at some of the most rare and valuable items which we may never be able to see otherwise.

Persons purchasing larger amounts of books/catalogs may be eligible for a discount, so check with us if you're interested in significantly adding to your library!  These items will be shipped by the fourth class book rate.  If you require faster delivery, I can provide it but there will be an extra shipping charge.  It will be expensive as heavy books are not cheap to mail by priority or first class mail.  Hope you find some items of interest and please check back frequently as we'll no doubt be adding new items.
